Amadeus invests in consultancy services
Amadeus is now strengthening and packaging its offer of consultancy services for the travel industry. Within a total of four service areas, sixteen different services have recently been introduced – and more will be launched later this year.
“Competition in the travel industry is fierce. This places demands on the travel agencies to review and analyse their business activities, streamline their processes and automate as much as possible in order to increase profitability. We have been offering consultancy services in this area for quite some time now and have observed a powerful increase in demand,” says Peter de Verdier, Director of Marketing, Amadeus Scandinavia.
The range of services offered spans a broad area and comprises training, workshops, business consulting, change projects and system integrations between Amadeus and other IT systems used in the business activities. The target group includes both travel agencies and companies that use Amadeus self-booking systems.
The services are divided into four different groups and there are currently sixteen services detailed. Later this autumn, at least ten additional services will be introduced.
The four service groups
• Business Analysis Services: A review and analysis of processes, systems and workflow in business activities with the objective of increasing efficiency and profitability. Examples of services: Amadeus Workshops, Amadeus Business Process Analysis and Amadeus API/Web Services Consulting.
• Business Solution Services: Design and development of tailor-made solutions and IT support to help the business run more smoothly and efficiently, e.g. Amadeus Customized Solutions.
• Competence/Efficiency Services: Competence development for employees in order to raise the level of customer service. Some services: Amadeus Functional and Customized Training, Amadeus Field Support and Technical Training.
• Outsourcing Services: Support and project management in different phases of the development processes, such as Amadeus Project Management.
